Lunenburg, Queens & Shelburne Counties

EXPLORE
THE COMMUNITY

Lunenburg , Queens and Shelburne counties are home to fishing, forestry, crafting, manufacturing and retirement living. The area is growing at a steady pace as more and more people discover our rolling (Drumlins) hills, white sand beaches, peaceful lakes and the friendly residents. Home prices are still affordable but steadily increasing.  The education opportunities include good public schools,  plus French Immersion and Community Colleges. Lunenburg County is more clay soil/loam pushed from the valley by glaciers and many lakes carved as they moved forward. Most of the county is within 90 minutes or less of Halifax or the airport. Queens County is more rocky because of the glacial movement. Liverpool is the main town. Kejimkujik National Park, and large interconnecting lakes are in Queens County offering both cottage country and year round living. Shelburne County offers a more laid back lifestyle with endless white sand beaches and, more remote areas. The historic town of Shelburne is toward the tip of Western Nova Scotia.
